Cancer survivors: The real heroes

No one can imagine how life shattering it feels to hear 'you have cancer' unless you or your loved one has been in that situation. We bring you stories of cancer survivors who did not succumb to the tragic cancer but chose to fight it.
When 63-year-old Mrs Gurusharan Kumar felt a lump in her left breast, she did not panic. She rushed to get herself checked and when the results came back positive, though shattered, she was determined to fight the disease.She battled through chemotherapy, radiotherapy with strength and positivity. And so did 81-year-old Mikhri Kemilova, who wins the world with a simple smile.

The doctors who treat these patients are no less heroes, if nothing better. They share with us what it is that is contributing to the cancer menace and how the caregivers should deal with their loved ones battling cancer.
